So today we had a couple of accidents. Alyssa right after bathtime, and Makenna before bedtime. Isabelle can hold her pee FOREVER!!!!! I mean you have to watch her, because she will go hours without using the potty unless you make her. She is too funny! I also found out about a great potty seat!

I am thinking about getting two for our bathrooms, because the normal inserts seem to not be able to contain the pee! I mean I always heard that boys were messy, but the girls are crazy too!
I also took some pic at the last swim lesson that I need to share. The video is not working for some crazy reason, so I don't think I'll be able to get it up! I try to get some videos of the crazy girls in the pool on Friday!

Kicking the water!

Here's the girls getting into the pool!

Today, I lost my mind and decided to take the girls to the pool by myself. I got them up from nap and changed into our swimsuits. We went to the pool and started swimming. I learned something really quickly: LIFEGUARDS FREAK OUT when my girls first jump in the pool! One almost jumped in after Alyssa jumped in. By the time, I finished explaining that the girls were swimmers, Alyssa had already rolled over, gotten into her float, and then rolled and swam to the side. After that, every time the lifeguards changed out, I made sure to let them know that my girls can swim.
When we first arrived, the girls were a little freaked out by the sound the diving board make when the big kids jump off them. The pool has two diving boards. Both for regulation events: 3.5 meters and a high dive. Alyssa began wanting to VISIT the high dive. I wouldn't let her, but finally gave in. Alyssa climbed up on the 3.5 meter board, walked to the end, and jumped. Again FREAKING out the lifeguard, and landing a VERY big BELLY FLOP!!! She came up into her float, rested for a second and then swam to the edge. Makenna and Issy then wanted to get on the board, but they were too scared to actually jump. Alyssa wanted to go again, so I let her try. However, the belly flop was a little much for her, and she didn't want to jump again, instead she wanted to sit and slide off. I wouldn't let her, so she had to come off the diving board.
As soon as she got off the diving board, I was rounding up Issy and Makenna to head back to the shallow end, and when I turned around, Alyssa was climbing the HIGH DIVING BOARD!!! And she would have done it, if momma hadn't of stopped her. I kindly informed for that she had to be 3 before I would let her try the high diving board!

Today was our very last day of swimming and Mommy got to be the teacher! When we arrived this morning, Ms. Gina's neighbor was out with her doggie a St. Bernard named Max. The girls fell instantly in love...

Makenna and Max

Alyssa and Issy with Max

Issy checking out Max's face!

Max is now bored with the girls!

Waiting to go swimming with momma

Waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for lessons to start

Issy watching Ms. Gina teaching the little baby before us.

Ms Gina takes a picture of the girls together!

Me and Makenna swimming

Me and Alyssa (Isabelle is laying on the deck and Makenna is waiting on the steps!)

Ms. Gina tossing Alyssa in...

Then Alyssa heads to mommy!

Makenna got thrown it.

Ms. Gina and the Girls!

Ms. Gina and two out of the three looking! (One can try right?)

Makenna giving Ms. Gina a little present from us!

Alyssa thinking about jumping off the seating area!
Isabelle enjoying her sucker!

And then rearranging Ms. Gina's candles!

Relaxing on Ms. Gina's Couch!

All dressed and ready to go home!
We will miss Ms. Gina VERY MUCH!!!! We can't wait until this spring when we do our refresher course, and once momma finishes her PhD, she is planning on getting trained by Ms Gina, so I can teach this too!

So my girls have been daytime potty trainned for a while now, but they had ONE condition: NO PANTIES! They can pee or poop in the potty as long as you don't put them in the panties. If you do, the second you do, they will have an accident.
Well, since Grandma Guinn is here and her weenie dogs have sharp nails, we have been trying to keep them in panties. It has been going okay. We still have a few accidents everyday, and many are my fault, because I don't listen when they tell me they need to go.
Example: Today at lunch, Alyssa kept wanting to get down from the table. I kept making her get back up and eventually she says really quitely "potty." She had an accident, because I did not pay attention to why she was wanting down from the table.
It is really frustrating to be this close and yet still not quite be there! I want to start getting them out in public in just the panties, but I can't until they acutally start telling me they need to potty and not just doing it. Oh well, eventually we will get there!

Little Alyssa gets to test out of swimming lessons tomorrow morning. It is crazy how good this little girl is at swimming. We put her in full clothes today and she just went to town. Most kids float more when they are in clothes because its harder to swim, but NOT Miss Lyss! She just kept going and going. Mrs. Gina even flipped her over into the water to simulate a fall with disorientation and she actually liked it! She put a towel over her face and Alyssa did not panic and just removed the towel without a problem.
So tomorrow is her test out! We are so excited for her. We will continue to swim her this week and the week we get back from the beach to increase her strength, but other than that, she is officially done with the skills she needs to learn!
Issy also did amazing and will most likely test out on Friday.
And if Makenna keeps up her swimming like she has the last three days, she will get to test out on Monday or Tuesday of next week!

On Friday, we started the day by wrapping up Week 4 of swimming lessons. They went great. Poppa even got to watch and he was impressed. Isabelle and Alyssa continue to be amazing and are really having fun swimming now. Makenna was supposed to go second, but Alyssa was so excited to swim that we let her go second. Makenna is still crying through most of the lesson, but the tears are less and less each time. She just needs to get confidence in her abilities.
After swimming lessons, we headed down to the zoo to meet the Toothman triplets for a little playdate. The Toothmans are almost two, so they are younger than us. Aiden, Lucabella, and Issac are too cute.
Here's the whole crew!
Scott is the daddy and he is amazing with those little ones. Kellie is their mom and she is just amazing! My dad did have one issue with Scott. He's a Dodger fan, but dad said he could forgive him for it. LOL!!!!
Here's the girls feeding the birds. Did I mention that we LOVE this new addition to the zoo! It's so cool!
Poppa and Isabelle!
After the zoo, we headed home for a quick nap and once naps were over her headed over to Pigtails and Crewcuts for haircuts. I am really frustrated with paying $18 per kid for a haircut. And my girls aren't getting big cuts. Just a bang trim and shaping the back up. That's it! But the problem is that if we go somewhere cheaper, they aren't used to working with kids and usually mess it up. I just don't know what to do. And don't suggest I do it myself, because I am a lefty who couldn't cut a straight line if my LIFE depended on it! So I guess I'll keep on paying the same amount!
