Can I begin to express how bad this week has been for Nana and me! We are missing Issy like crazy! I think this trip was about 4 days too long! I know that Issy has had a blast hanging out with her daddy and grandparents, but I do miss her.
Alyssa and Makenna have been taking turns sleeping in her crib, and they are always wanting to "find Issy." They will talk to her on the phone, but they don't seem to understand where she is. However, the last two days or so, it’s like they have accepted she is gone and aren't looking for her as much!
Preschool is going great! Makenna and Alyssa love it! Whenever we drive out of Nana's neighborhood, they want to turn into the "school!"
I sent an email to their teacher, Ms. Brandi, about their birthday celebration and this is the lovely note I got in return from her.
I have really enjoyed getting to know Alyssa and Makenna, and I can't wait to develop a stronger relationship with Issy. It is absolutely wonderful to have them in the room. They are usually the first ones to come in, in the morning, so I get to spend a few minutes with just them and I really look forward to it each day. And funny, they are hysterical at times with their "I did it!"; "I'm okay" and "be careful".
I am so glad that they are enjoying preschool!
And a REALLY funny story from gymnastics. I got a call the yesterday about being a part of the Supernanny show from a friend of our gymnastics teacher!
Her friend had told her they were looking for cute younger multiples to be on the show and that they paid a pretty nice amount for their participation. I got all this on a voicemail. A few minutes later, Ms. K. called back all upset! SHE HAD NEVER SEEN THE SHOW! She was just going off what her friend had requested and thought of us because the girls were cute! She did not realize the show was about correcting bad behavior/parenting mistakes! I am pretty sure she was beyond embarrassed!
However, if I had had to deal with my girls on the first day of gymnastics, I would have probably recommended that Supernanny come too! Wonder if we can just be on the show at gymnastics class?
